PRP Hair Treatment In Atlanta:
The Answer For Your Hair Loss? Maybe.

PRP hair treatment works when it reaches follicles that are still alive. The only way to know is magnification. We read your scalp at 200x first, on screen while you watch, and confirm whether PRP is the right call before you invest in a series.

What PRP Hair Treatment Delivers.

What Changes When The Right
Follicles Get The Right Signal.

PRP places concentrated growth factors from your own blood directly where follicles are underperforming. When follicles are still viable, progress can show in the mirror, in your photos, and in how your hair feels in your hands.

Your own growth factors, placed where they work.

Thicker Strands From The Same Follicles Miniaturizing follicles producing finer hairs receive growth factors that support stronger strand caliber.
Woman smoothing her hair back into a pulled-back style
Dormant Follicles Re-Enter The Growth Phase Follicles stalled in the resting phase receive signals that support a return to the growth phase when their structure remains intact.
Woman running her fingers through wet curls on wash day
Stronger Support Around The Hair Bulb PRP supports repair signaling and blood-vessel activity around viable follicles, helping nutrients reach the tissue that produces hair.
Woman reviewing before and after hair progress photos on a tablet
Visible Coverage You Can Compare Your part, crown, and treatment areas are photographed from fixed positions every visit so changes can be compared over time.

PRP hair treatment supports the follicles you still have. The 200x read confirms which ones can respond.

The PRP Timeline

What The PRP Hair Treatment Timeline Looks Like.

PRP works through the hair-growth cycle, so progress develops in stages. Your treatment areas are photographed from fixed positions and reviewed alongside repeat 200x reads.

What to expect at each stage.

Watch: Website Introduction 2026

One Series. Progress Measured Over Time.

Weeks 1 To 4: Foundation Your first session places growth factors where the 200x read identified viable follicles. Mild tenderness can last a day or two.
Weeks 4 To 8: Early Signal Follicles may begin transitioning toward the growth phase. Shedding can stabilize, and fine new hairs may become visible.
Weeks 8 To 16: Visible Progress Strands can thicken and coverage can improve. Fixed-position photos make the changes easier to compare.
Weeks 16 To 26: Development Responsive follicles continue producing hair as the cycle develops. Your 26-week photos document the cumulative change.
Maintenance Periodic sessions may support performance over time. Frequency is set from progress photos and repeat 200x reads.
Measured Every Visit Every review compares the same positions and lighting, then uses what the scalp shows to continue, adjust, or stop.

Hair growth moves in months, not days. Individual timelines and results vary.

Why Candidacy Comes First

What Your 200x Read Reveals That A Consultation Cannot

Most clinics offering PRP hair treatment in Atlanta quote a series at the consultation. A visual consultation cannot confirm whether your follicles are still viable, and viability determines whether PRP has tissue to support.

At 200x magnification, we see follicle openings, shaft caliber, miniaturization patterns, inflammation, and scarring. Conditions that look alike from arm's length separate under magnification, and only some presentations are ready for PRP.

That distinction is the difference between a series with a viable target and one that was never the right fit. We confirm it before you invest.

How PRP Hair Treatment Works

Your Own Blood. Your Own Growth Factors.
Placed Where Your Follicles Can Use Them.

PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma. A small amount of your blood is drawn, spun to separate the platelet-rich portion, and the concentrated growth factors are placed directly into the scalp where your 200x read identified viable follicles.

01 Draw A small volume of your blood is drawn in the clinic, using the same process as a routine blood draw.
02 Process Your blood is spun to separate and concentrate the platelet-rich plasma, where the growth factors sit.
03 Deliver The PRP concentrate is placed across the mapped treatment areas at the depth and spacing determined by your 200x read.

Our Protocol

Why We Pair PRP
With Microneedling

When you are a candidate, pairing PRP with microneedling gets more out of every session. Controlled micro-injury triggers the scalp's own repair signaling and opens channels that help the platelet concentrate reach the depth where follicles sit.

Depth and spacing are set from your 200x read, adjusted for your scalp and hair texture. Certified trichologists perform the hands-on work. Dr. Nina Ross, ND oversees every PRP hair treatment protocol as Clinical Director.

When A Different Path
Comes First

These findings tell us PRP is premature. A different step comes first, and that step is handled here.

Trichoscopy shows no viable follicles in the target area. Where the follicular openings are gone, there is nothing left to support and PRP is not offered for that area.
Advanced scarring alopecia with an active inflammatory border. The inflammation is addressed first. Treating over an active scarring process spends your money on tissue that is still being lost.
A shedding pattern that points to an internal driver we have not sorted yet, such as thyroid, iron, or a recent medication change. Growth signaling into a scalp that is shedding for a systemic reason is the wrong first step, so the internal work comes first.
Active infection, open lesions, or untreated inflammatory scalp disease at the site. The scalp is settled before anything is placed into it.
Blood or platelet conditions and medications that make a draw or a platelet concentrate inappropriate. This is reviewed in your history at the Discovery.
Expectations that the read cannot support, for example a fully bare area a client wants restored to teenage density. We say so plainly and talk about what is realistic, including whether cosmetic density is a better fit.

When PRP hair treatment is premature, the alternative path is handled here: settling inflammation, addressing an internal driver, or exploring cosmetic density. One team, one location.

Questions, Answered.

Questions About
PRP Hair Treatment

If your question is not here, call us. You will talk to a real person.

What is PRP hair treatment?

PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma. A small amount of your blood is drawn, spun to concentrate the growth factors, and placed directly into the scalp where follicles are underperforming. Your own biology supplies the treatment material.

Does PRP hair treatment actually work?

It can support follicles that are still alive. That is why we confirm candidacy at 200x before recommending a series. Where follicle openings are preserved, PRP delivers growth factors that support dormant and miniaturizing follicles.

How many PRP sessions will I need?

A typical PRP hair treatment series may involve 3 to 4 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, followed by maintenance. Your 200x read and response over time determine the plan for you.

How long until I see results from PRP hair treatment?

Some clients begin noticing changes within 8 to 12 weeks, while fuller development may take 6 to 12 months. We photograph fixed positions every visit so progress can be measured. Individual timelines and results vary.

Does PRP hair treatment hurt?

Most clients describe pressure and brief stinging during delivery. The scalp may feel tender afterward for a day or two. Comfort measures are used, and you can ask us to pause at any point.

Why do you pair PRP with microneedling?

Microneedling creates controlled micro-channels that help the PRP concentrate reach the depth where follicles sit. It also triggers the scalp's own repair signaling, so the two treatments work through complementary pathways.

Can PRP hair treatment help with traction alopecia?

It may help when traction alopecia is caught before scarring closes the follicle openings. If the openings at your edges remain visible at 200x, PRP may support those follicles. Where openings are gone, a different path is recommended.

Is PRP hair treatment safe for Black hair?

PRP uses material prepared from your own blood. Our certified trichologists adjust depth, spacing, and aftercare for textured hair and your scalp findings. Your health history is reviewed before treatment.

How is your PRP different from other clinics in Atlanta?

We confirm candidacy at 200x magnification before recommending a single session. You see your follicles on screen and learn whether PRP has viable tissue to support before you invest in a series.

How much does PRP hair treatment cost in Atlanta?

PRP pricing is discussed after candidacy is confirmed through the $99 Hair & Body Discovery. We first determine whether your follicles can respond, then give you the recommended schedule and full numbers before treatment starts.
