We specialize in 18 hair loss conditions across six families: scarring, autoimmune, hormonal, inflammatory, traumatic and other systemic causes. The family matters because it changes what's possible. Scarring conditions need early action to protect follicles that are still alive. In others, including alopecia areata and anagen effluvium, the follicle usually survives. A 200x read of your scalp, alongside a look at the systems behind it, is how we tell which one you have.
Scarring · 2 conditions
Inflammation replaces the follicle with scar tissue. Early reading protects what is still alive.
Scarred follicles do not regrow. The goal of catching it early is protecting every follicle that is still active.
Central centrifugal cicatricial alopecia. Starts at the crown and spreads outward, quietly.
An inflammatory scarring alopecia that often burns or stings before it shows.
Autoimmune · 2 conditions
The immune system interrupts the follicle. The follicle itself often survives.
Smooth, round patches that appear quickly. The follicle usually survives.
An immune condition of skin, nails and mouth that can reach the follicle.
Hormonal · 6 conditions
Estrogen, thyroid, DHT and cortisol shifts show up as thinning through the top.
Four hormones do most of the work. When they move, your hair reports it.
Higher androgens thin the crown and thicken hair where you did not ask for it.
The hormone behind pattern thinning, and how to tell if it is your driver.
The widening part and the thinner ponytail, explained honestly.
Predictable pattern, variable speed. The earlier you read it, the more you keep.
The shedding that starts around month three. It is real, and it does end.
Inflammatory · 3 conditions
Bumps, scale and irritation that keep the scalp inflamed and the density falling.
Tender, sometimes pus-filled bumps sitting right on the follicle.
Greasy flaking and itch that keep the scalp inflamed.
Start here if you are feeling bumps and do not know what they are.
Traumatic · 3 conditions
Tension, pulling or treatment interrupts follicles that were otherwise healthy.
Tension-driven loss at the edges and part lines. Often reversible early.
We treat the scalp. No judgment, no behavioral advice.
Rapid loss during treatment. The follicles usually survive.
Other · 2 conditions
Systemic drivers that show up as shedding across the whole scalp.
Sudden diffuse shedding, usually about three months after a trigger.
Which medications are associated with shedding, and the right next step.
That is what the first visit is for. Several of these look identical in the mirror and completely different at 200x.
One visit. Real answers.
