Hair Loss Treatment In Atlanta
That Starts With An Answer

The part that keeps widening. The crown you check in every mirror. What comes out on wash day. Edges that have not come back since the last style. You can see your scalp at 200x in one visit, find out what is actually driving the loss, and have treatment matched to that cause instead of to a guess.

Tap the one you would say out loud. It takes you straight to the calendar.

Why a standard dermatology visit stops at the scalp.

The Problem Was Never Just On Your Head.

A dermatologist treats scalp skin. A trichologist goes past it, to the strand, the follicle, your hormones, your nutrition, your stress and your hair history. Dr. Nina checks each layer a cream can't reach.

You weren't treating it wrong. You were treating the wrong layer.

Watch: Website Introduction 2026

Same Thinning. Different Causes.

Six people can have the same widening part and six different drivers behind it. What you see in the mirror does not tell you which one you have. Tap any cause to read how it behaves.

Lack Of Vitamins Iron, ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and zinc all sit upstream of the growth phase. A follicle can be structurally fine and still stall because the raw material is not arriving. This one is common and it is often missed because the hair is what shows the shortage first.
Stress A physical or emotional stressor can push a large group of follicles into the resting phase at the same time. The shedding usually shows up weeks after the event itself, which is why the connection gets missed when someone looks only at what is happening this month.
Unhealthy Habits Tension styling, chronic heat, harsh chemical services, poor sleep, and a diet that does not support the follicle all leave signatures on the scalp. Under magnification these look different from an internal driver, which is exactly why the scalp is read first.
Hormone Imbalance Thyroid function, perimenopause, postpartum shifts, PCOS and androgen sensitivity change how the follicle cycles. The visible pattern is often diffuse thinning through the part, which can look identical to several other causes from the outside.
Medication Side Effect Some prescriptions affect the hair cycle, and the timing can be delayed enough that nobody connects them. We look at what you are taking and when it started against when the shedding started, and we never tell you to stop a prescription.
Autoimmune Conditions Alopecia areata, lichen planopilaris and CCCA involve the immune system acting on the follicle. These leave specific findings at 200x, including scarring changes, and the treatment approach is different because the priority becomes protecting follicles that are still alive.

Before we talk treatment, we find out why. And you see it for yourself.

How We Work

How We Evaluate,
In Order

01 Scalp First

Before any question about diet, stress, or supplements, your scalp is magnified at 200x and read region by region. That read tells us whether follicular openings are still present, whether there is scarring, whether inflammation is active, and whether the shafts show miniaturisation or breakage. Those findings narrow the field before a single assumption is made.

02 Systems Second

Nothing about your history is interpreted until the full Discovery is done.

03 History Third

Your styling history, family pattern, medications, pregnancies, and the timeline of the loss come last on purpose. Taken first, history steers the eye. Someone who mentions braids will get told it is traction, someone who mentions stress will get told it is stress, and the scalp then gets read to confirm a conclusion that has already been reached.

04 Why The Order Changes The Answer

Reversing the sequence is how people end up treating the wrong thing for a year. A widening part from a thyroid shift and a widening part from androgen sensitivity look the same in a mirror and different at 200x. Reading the scalp before hearing the story is what keeps the finding independent of the expectation, and it is the reason two clients describing the same symptom often leave with two different explanations.

This Is The Hair We Work With Every Day.

You Shouldn't Have To Teach Your Hair Specialist About Black Hair.

Years of braids, relaxers, sew-ins, wigs, locs, heat or protective styles matter here. So does having 4C hair. And if your mother or aunt saw thinning at the crown, that can matter too.

You shouldn't have to spend half your appointment explaining why.

We Understand Textured Hair

The way you style your hair, how often it's handled and everything it has been through over the years can all point to what's going on now.

Honest Answers
Before You Commit

If your question isn't here, call us and ask. You will talk to a real person.

How do you decide which treatment I actually need?

Treatment selection follows the evaluation, never the other way around. Your scalp is read at 200x, the systems behind it are looked at, and your history is taken in that order. What that shows decides whether the answer is inflammation control, growth signaling, nutrient support, cosmetic density, or a combination. Nobody is put on a program before we know what we are treating.

What happens in the first visit?

The $99 Hair & Body Discovery is 30 minutes with a certified trichologist. Your scalp is magnified at 200x on screen while you watch, and your written Hair & Body Discovery Report reaches your inbox the next day. There is no prep and no styling requirement. Come with your hair however it is.

How is this different from going to a dermatologist?

Evaluations and hands-on treatments are performed by certified trichologists under the clinical direction of Dr. Nina Ross, ND. The practical difference is time and continuity. You see your own scalp magnified during the visit, the whole body is considered alongside it, and everything after that is handled here in-house. We do not send you elsewhere to piece your care together.

Do you treat every type of hair loss?

We work across eighteen conditions, from CCCA, traction alopecia, and lichen planopilaris to telogen effluvium, postpartum shedding, hormonal thinning, folliculitis, and male pattern loss. Some presentations are about protecting what is still viable rather than regrowing what is gone, and you will be told which of those two situations you are in.

Where are you and is parking easy?

We are at 8735 Dunwoody Place, Suite 290, Sandy Springs, GA 30350, just off GA-400 near the Perimeter, with free parking at the building. Clients travel to us from across the metro, and appointments are usually available the same week.

Your First Step.

You Are Not Committing To Months Of Treatment Today

The first step is smaller than that. It is finding out what is actually causing the loss, seeing it on screen yourself, and having it in writing the next day. What you do with that is your decision. Serving all of Metro Atlanta.
